The cells that are currently used in our battery packs are Lithium-ion NMC 811 cells. NMC stands for Nickel, Manganese and Cobalt oxide, which are represented in approximate proportions of 80%, 10% and 10% respectively in our battery cathode.
We chose NMC 811 cells due to their unparalleled power and energy densities, which are well-suited to the longevity and robustness required for automotive applications.
